ISSUES ENCOUNTERED
Node smoothing was defeated because the interpolation query clock advanced in stair-steps tied to the sample clock.

SOLUTION
Advanced the interp query clock on the wall clock and sampled interpolation at the wall-advanced time (RenderClock).
